The nursery is located at the Hornsey Cricket and Tennis Club, Tivoli Road, Crouch End, N8 8RG, one block away from Park Road in Crouch End.

Active Learning is about 1500 yards from Highgate underground station; the nearest main line rail station is Hornsey Railway station. When approaching the nursery by car drive to the end of Tivoli Road and turn left into the nursery car park.

We are fortunate with our flagship site at Crouch End to be located within a cricket ground with 7 acres of grounds, providing endless opportunities for outdoor sports, games and outdoor projects. However, even where sites are not set in such leafy surroundings, our emphasis remains on providing early years education through active learning. Active Learning provides stunning purpose built facilities, designed by a team with over 15 years experience. Great emphasis is placed on light and space, and the creation of specific studios suitable for use for Performing Arts (including music, drama, dance, balet and a full range of indoor and outdoor sports), Art, Science and IT where we can introduce children to experiments, cookery, dinosaurs, the planets and indeed whatever the creative minds of our teachers (and children) wish to achieve.

For our babies, we have light, bright play spaces with unique separate facilities for babies to sleep peacefully, milk prep kitchens and separate changing facilities. Also a special sensory room, full of wondrous things to look at, touch and discover. It is an ever changing environment providing a constant source of new delights. In fact, all the children (and staff) love it, - a haven of relaxation. And of course, in the middle of all this boundless energy, we do have quieter rooms where children can read, develop essential literacy and numeracy skills, do puzzles and engage with staff on special projects and other pre school learning and play activities.
