| Swine Flu Update 5 May 2009 |
| Tuesday, May 05, 2009 |
| Dear Active Learning Parents:
Further to my letter of the 30th of April I am able to report that there are no cases of swine flu at Active Learning nurseries. The advice from the Health Protection Agency is that consideration should only be given to temporarily closing a school if there is a probable or confirmed case of swine flu at the school.
If your child becomes ill please keep them at home, inform the school and seek advice from your GP.
We will continue to monitor the situation, take guidance from the relevant outside agencies and communicate with you by email and directly through the nurseries.
Kind regards,
William D. Zuckerman

| Swine Flu 30 April 2009 |
| Thursday, April 30, 2009 |
| Dear Active Learning Parents:
You will be aware from the widespread press coverage that there are worldwide concerns about swine flu. Active Learning, in consultation with the nursery medical officer and outside agencies, is closely monitoring the situation for any developments. We will keep all parents informed via email of any developments, and post notices in the entrance to all nurseries of any change in the current situation.
The World Health Organisation today increased its pandemic flu alert status from Phase 4 to Phase 5, but still has not declared that this is a pandemic. At present all Active Learning nurseries will continue to operate normally.
The parents of any child who has recently been abroad and is feeling unwell should inform their nursery immediately and the child should not be brought in to nursery and kept at home until such time as they have recovered. Similarly, if any parents have recently been abroad and are feeling unwell this should be communicated to nursery and the situation monitored on an ongoing basis should their child develop any symptoms.
Further information and advice will, of course, be given to parents should it become necessary.
Yours sincerely,
William D. Zuckerman
Chairman and CEO
